Life at Carleton
I’m in my senior year of college at Carleton. I am a Cognitive Science major and a potential Digital Arts and Humanities minor. I am a student departmental adviser for the Cognitive Science Program and usually work three campus jobs. My usual schedule includes going to class, plus working as a Digital Humanities Associate, an Office Assistant for the Psychology Department and an assistant in the Costume shop where I sew costumes and props or help with the rentals for theatre and dance productions on campus. This term I am also a technical assistant for a history course on Medieval Europe as a part of my job as a Digital Humanities Associate. I am helping the students out with navigating Omeka S. I am also working on creating web designs for another upcoming Omeka site on Japanese Maps! Apart from work, I enjoy creating art, acting in the theatre productions on campus and cooking with my friends. I live off campus with two of my best friends and their cats. The picture on the left is from my time on the Studio Art in the South Pacific Carleton study abroad. If I wasn’t a Cognitive Science major I would have been a studio art or SOAN major!
Beyond Carleton
When I am not being a student at Carleton, I fly back to Mumbai, India to spend time with my family and reconnect with life and friends in a world that feels quite different from the one I live in in Northfield, Minnesota! I find myself discovering the new art shops and cafes in the city, drawing on the beach, or reading fantasy fiction. The picture on the left is taken from one of my frequent visits to the beach near my home.
